Do You Believe in a Guaranteed Success Rate for Your Singapore PR Application?

Recently, an immigration consultancy specialising in Singapore PR applications, Pxxx Immigrations, has recently faced scrutiny from CASE (Consumers Association of Singapore). Between January 1, 2020, and September 30, 2024, CASE received 58 complaints about the company. The complaints highlighted several issues:

  • Misleading Success Rates: Consumers reported that a few Immigrations misled them about the likelihood of their PR applications being approved. The company falsely guaranteed high success rates to attract clients.
  • Aggressive Sales Tactics: The company’s consultants applied undue pressure on potential clients, urging them to sign up for their packages. Techniques included emphasizing time urgency and offering discounts and installment payment plans to coerce quick decisions.
  • False Promises: XXXX Immigrations made exaggerated claims about their connections and influence over the application process, misleading consumers about their chances of success.

These practices violated the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act (CPFTA), which prohibits false or misleading claims and undue influence on consumers.

No agency can guarantee a 99% success rate

The approval process is stringent and depends on various factors, including the applicant’s qualifications, background, and alignment with Singapore’s immigration policies.

Read reviews, seek recommendations from trusted sources, and inquire about their track record.

Agencies that make false promises or market themselves with exaggerated success rates may employ other misleading practices as well. This could include hidden fees, poor communication, subpar services, and aggressive sales techniques that pressure consumers into signing up for packages. Be wary of any agency that tries to rush you into a decision—your purchase should only be made if you genuinely believe it will be helpful.

A trustworthy agency will provide clear information about the application process, potential challenges, pricing, and realistic chances of success. At SGTI, we refrain from making unfounded guarantees just to secure your business. We focus on providing accurate information and realistic expectations.
